This piece has won 9 awards and has been in magazines been up on our website. It was designed by my husband and tattooed by him, Jim Januzik, A.D.I. Tattoo, Southern Pines; NC. As to the meaning... it's a memorial piece to my father and to his side of the family still living in Wales, where they've been forever. I did not want the typical Celtic Tattoo of a Welsh flag dragon, so the dragon heads were devised by my husband & hence the red in them. The whole Celtic Tattoo covers up a butterfly that was 25 years old (I was a head of my times then). The whole back piece is still just as bright today as it was 5-6 years ago. We have added shoulder caps since then as well. We will be adding some more below the shoulder caps. The back piece took 30 hours to do.
 
My father never did become an American citizen. The land that my family has farmed for centuries is unbelievable and somewhat difficult to describe. There is a Welsh word that roughly translates out to "the longing" I don't even remember what it is, but it's even deeper than that & more intense. It's for real!

Lesley is a great person and a great tattoo artist if you are looking for a Celtic tattoo in the NYC area I highly reccomend her. The design to the left is nearly impossible to tattoo in the first place, but she did an amazing job on it. Celtic tattoos are extremely hard and require a good tattoo artist to complete even the simple Celtic tattoo designs. Lesley is very advanced and can do your most intricate and advanced Celtic tattoo design with flying colors.
